10 Aug 2006 - Belarus Girl Guides visit Testwood

 

We were pleased to host a group of Girl Guides from Belarus at Testwood Lakes laon 10th August. The girls were invited over by GirlGuiding Hampshire West to attend Flame 2006, the International Camp held every 4 years at Foxlease, Lyndhurst. After the camp they were giving a weeks home hospitality with either families with guiding links or with Chernobyl Lifeline families. The girls were all guides or leaders with Girl Guides of Belarus and were from the Gomel area. Romsey scouts provided boats and canoes so that the Guides could "have a go".
