Donkey Derby
The annual Donkey Derby was at a slightly later date in 2007 to avoid clashing with school holidays. 23rd June at Totton Recreation Ground near Rushington roundabout was the date for your diary. Unfortunately untimely and unseasonal rain led to the cancellation of most of the racing and a much reduced return for all the hard work. Back to top
New Headquarters
The group is planning a new headquarters building alongside Testwood Lakes in Totton. Outline planning permission has finally been granted and we are now moving into the fundraising phase. The lake will be the base for our watersport activities. Provision of the new building is the main focus of our fundraising at the moment. Back to top
21st International Jamboree - Essex July-August 2007
In 2007 Scouts celebrate the first centenary of Scouting. We are especially proud that three of our Troop are representing Hampshire and the UK. If you think you can help with raising the £1500 in sponsorship each needs, please get in touch through the Contact Us page.

To enable our scouts to enjoy a really international experience the three contingents to which our scouts are attached are arranging expeditions abroad linked to the Jamboree. They therefore now have to raise additional funds so please help if you can - have you considered doing a sponsored event to help them raise funds? Back to top
Gambia Explorers Expedition February 2007
One of our Leaders is visiting The Gambia in 2007. A previous Explorers expedition established links with Scouts in the country and helped support youngsters in this West African country. A group is making a return visit next year to continue the work they have started at the Kaira Konko (Hill of Peace) Scouting Centre in the township of Soma far up the Gambi River. They need to raise £3000 sponsorship for the trip so if you think you can help them in any way please contact the Group using the Contact Us button and we will put you in touch.
