Anniversary Success

Congratulations to all the Leaders, Helpers and Parents who worked so hard to make our Inspection a success – what a way to crown our Diamond Anniversary! Thanks also to the Civic Leaders and other guests who supported the Group at the event.
The Scouts and Explorers looked immaculate on parade – a splash of bright blue against the gravel – “They look really proud to be there” was a comment made by one of the guests. And how right he was.

The main fundraising event is the Annual Donkey Derby which is being held next Saturday 21st June. We are hoping for better weather than last yeare when heavy rain caused the event to be abandoned.
Testwood Lakes - the planned home for the group. The lake will provide facilities for the group to train local youngsters in canoeing, sailing and pulling. See press release below.
The annual Solent Sea Scout Regatta is held here in the Autumn.
